He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Melanson and Josephine Melanson (Schemenowski); his wife JoAnn Gretz of Joseph's Catholic Church; his siblings, Richard Melanson, Carol Kadow (Roger) and Joanne Eggers (John); his parents-in-law, Stanley and Emma Gretz; his in-laws, Ken Gretz, John Riha and Betty Gretz; and his nephew Charles Riha.
He is survived by: his daughters, Theresa Jerke (Doug), Susan Kemp (Sid) and Sara Lipski (Mike); his grandchildren, Derrick Jerke (Bethann), T. J. Jerke (Megan), Kyle Greenwood (Holly), Spencer Greenwood, Claire Kemp and Aaron Lipski; his stepgrandson Joe Kemp (Amber); his great grandchildren, Cora Grace, Caide, Callahan and Jovie Jerke; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Alex, Max and Lily Kemp; his sister Katherine Beranek (Allen); and his siblings-in-law, Georgiana Melanson, Marie Riha, Janet Pelnar (Jack), Jim Gretz and Eileen Gretz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church (3201 Mishicot Rd, Two Rivers, WI 54241). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roncalli High School, St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, or Sharon Richardson Community Hospice.
