He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Wilks and Mabel Wilks; his brother Norman Wilks; and his brother-in-law John Boetcher. He is survived by : his significant other Jean Bretl; his children, Don Wilks (Robbyn), Kevin Wilks (Kelley), Karen Wilks and Sue Henderson (Craig); his grandchildren, Michael Wilks (Chaunice), Kristyn Muth (Steve), Kaitlyn Beguhl (Rees), Kassidy Ohmstede (Chris), Kylie Hill (Caleb), Kelsey Henderson and Madisyn Henderson; his great grandchildren, Brayden Michael Wilks Demuysere, Levi Muth, Colton Ohmstede and Emelia Muth; his siblings, Jim Wilks (Carla), Rob Wilks (Jeanne) and Betty Boetcher; and his sister-in-law Loretta Wilks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the family for the creation of an agricultural scholarship in memory of Alvin.
