Benjamin A. Sturdevant Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2025, Benjamin A. Sturdevant (Union Grove, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Sturdevant and Genevieve Marie Sturdevant (Bernard); and his siblings, Elsie, Eugene and Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Shela Sturdevant (Jackson); his daughters, Crystal Carter (Sturdevant) of Kenosha and Nicole Ryan (Heath Ryan) of Kenosha; his grandchildren, Shelby VanHecker (Michael VanHecker) of Milton, WI and Tyler Carter (Daniela); his great grandchild Rafael Benjamin Carter; his siblings, George Sturdevant and Susan Jones (Sturdevant); his caregiver Froedtert; and also, Birdie and Bogey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The military honors will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery (21425 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182).
