He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Lee Casey-Burton and V. L. Burton; and his brother Robert A. "Honk" Burton. He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Weatherford; his siblings, Shelton Watkins Sr. (Brenda) and Joan-Antoinette Burton; his close friend Sandra Weatherford; his son Cameron Weatherford (Danielle); and his grandchildren, Saveion, Shania and Samara. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home (2513 W Dugdale Rd, Waukegan, IL 60085). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182).
