He is survived by: his wife Janet (Welhouse); his children, Brenda Abbott (Doyal) and John VanDaalwyk; his grandchildren, Kyle Abbott and Logan Abbott (Maddie Smolko); his great grandchildren, Kaleb and Andréa; and his brothers, Roger VanDaalwyk (Elaine) and Paul VanDaalwyk (Lori).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the 1175 Sports Park (22840 Durand Ave, Kansasville, WI 53139).
