He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Fransen and Margaret Fransen; and his sister Shari Fransen-Lopez. He is survived by: his spouse Cherri Kay Hach; his children, Sally Schaefer (Brett), Zachery Fransen and Brittany Fransen; his grandchildren, Zoe, Xander and Janessa; and his sister Sue Wilson (Mark).
