We announce the death of Jill R. Backus (Valders, Wisconsin), who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 78. Jill will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Titzkowski and Ruth Titzkowski (Hecker); her brother Tom Titzkowski; her uncle Carroll Hecker; Paul and Ethel Backus.
She is survived by: her pet Rooney; her sister-in-law Carol Titzkowski; her nieces, Ellen Boldt (David), Laura Titzkowski (Bjorn Schalburg) and Ann Farber (Dan); her great-nephews, Henry, Peter Boldt, William and Benjamin Farber; her great-niece Amelia Rodgers; her aunt Tammy Hecker; her cousins, Marlene Burleson, Kim Hecker, Beth Tofari and Mark Hecker; her siblings-in-law, Kathleen Neumeyer (Joseph), Kristine Parkins (James) and Paul Backus (Sarah); her nieces and nephews, Sarah Neumeyer, Travis Neumeyer (Melissa Lodes), Amber Neumeyer, Courtney Neumeyer, Valerie Parkins and Cole Parkins (Emily); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Joshua Neumeyer and Claire Neumeyer.
