With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Winkelman of Verona, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Winkelman and Gladys Winkelman (Weisensel); his brother David Winkelman; his in-laws, Henry and Olga Weiss; his brother-in-law Karl Weiss; and his nephew James "Jimmy" Winkelman Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Edeltraut "Trouti" Winkelman; his daughters, Shay Sartorius (Andrew) of Prairie du Sac and Sara Quigle (Matthew) of Madison; his grandchildren, Colton, Otto Quigle and Regan Sartorius; his brothers, James Winkelman (Sally) of Verona and Robert Winkelman (Julie) of New Glarus; and his caregivers, Davidson House and Janessa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
