He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Wipfli and Emma Wipfli (Schilter); and his siblings, Elmer Wipfli (Helen), Leonard Wipfli (Helen), Agnes Liebenstein (Wallace) and Lorraine Rokus (Archie).

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Jagodzinski; his daughters, Debra Lobner (Alex), Jan Slovensky (Jeff) and Lisa Wipfli (Robert Bongard); his grandchildren, Craig Lobner (Beth), Eric Lobner (Lindsey), Ross Slovensky (Laura), Nicole Pyan (Justin), Lance Dahlke and Raquel Dahlke (Max Potratz); his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Max, Vivian, Ethan and Owen Lobner; Connie and Doug Ruesch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Edwin's name to St. James Catholic Church.
