Alice H. Atteln Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alice H. Atteln of Viroqua, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Rodenschmit and Juliana Rodenschmit (Schmelzer); her husband Claire B. Atteln; her siblings, Edwin Rodenschmit, Mary Ellen Raemisch (Chuck), Anna May Krantz (Bert), Helen, William'Bill'Rodenschmit and Susan Geishirt (Elmer); and her brother-in-law Fran Spencer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Baxter (Marko) and Monica Kehlen; her grandchildren, Tanna, Danica and Malla Baxter; her sister Carol Spencer; and her sister-in-law Jan Rodenschmit. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Annunciation Catholic Church (400 Congress Ave, Viroqua, WI 54665). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the St. John's Summit Ridge Catholic Church (16585 Kellogg Ave, Norwalk, WI 54648). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:45 PM at the same location.
