He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwin Rood and Marjorie Rood (Rumsey); his grandmother Joyce (Norwegian); his wife Joyce E. Tollackson; his brother Charles; and his siblings-in-law, Wyman Peterson, John Hollowell, Ronnie Tollackson, Loretta Rood, Donna Hollowell and Phyllis Tollackson.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Rood (Bev) of New Lisbon, WI, Craig Rood (Jane) of Elgin, IA, Garry Rood (Linda) of Ontario, WI and Darin Rood (Monica) of Menomonie, WI; his grandchildren, Kristi DeAngelis (Chris), Kari Dvorak, Jason Rood (Tonya), Jessie Reed (Ryan), Jennifer Rose (Jon), Nick Lechtenberg (Carlyn), Scott Lechtenberg (Tasha), Eric Lechtenberg (Heather), Royal Gollobith, Kate Levendoski, Tristan Glass, Madison Rood, Emma Rood and Ryan Rood; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Zoey, Noah, Liam, Christopher Bradbury (Jena), Finley, Liberty, Wendy, Gerret, Klayten, Westen, Mabel, Jack, Ruby, Clara, Charlie, Stirn, Teff and Ward; his grandchildren, Christian, Leon, Bram, Aja, Ellie, Kaesen and Iris; his great great grandchildren, Harper and Samuel; and his nieces and nephews, Kenny Peterson (Kathy), Dan Peterson, David Peterson, Doug Peterson (Tracy), Joanne Bright (Clifford), Brian Rood (Denise), Scott Rood (Cathy), Todd Rood (Catherine Wallace) and Rhonda Rood (Terry Trueblood).
