John Linnell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Linnell of Viroqua, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vernon Swenson and Naomi Evelyn Linnell (Seim); his father-in-law Arlin Forde; and his brother-in-law Dave Muether. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Zachary (Emily) of Viroqua, WI and Ariana of Minneapolis, MN.; his granddaughter Evelyn; his siblings, Erik of Ellsworth, WI and Anna Louise of Decorah, IA; his mother-in-law Beverly Forde of Viroqua; and his siblings-in-law, Curt of Viroqua, Craig (Patty) of Ferryville, Allan of Viroqua, Diane (Pete) of Onalaska and Amy (Joe) of Viroqua. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
