She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Platta and Patricia Platta; and her brothers, Michael Platta and Bill Platta. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth; her children, Timothy Chase (Donna), Susan Keepman (Al) and Nicole Chase-Dobiash (Jason); her grandchildren, Scott Chase, Kelly Chase-Geib, Eric Chase, Megan Whittier, Allison Fiato, Emma Dobiash, Carson Dobiash and Miles Dobiash; her great grandchildren, Scarlett and Juliette; and her brother Nicholas Platta (Kate).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to American Alzheimer's Association.
