He was predeceased by: his father Lester Baker; and his grandparents, Hazel and Everett Baker. He is survived by: his mother Bessie Baker (Anderson); his wife Bonnie; his children, Brian Baker, Lisa Lounsbrough (Aaron) and Michelle Wiering (Jacob); his grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb, Cooper, Alyssa, Dylan, Kiera, Maggie and Winnie; and his sisters, Diane, Darlene and Marilyn.
In keeping with Michael's generous spirit, memorials may be made in his memory to the "Friends of Wildcat", a non-profit equestrian group that supports improvements to the Horse Campground and equestrian trails at Wildcat Mountain State Park, or the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.
