He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swarm and Grace Swarm (Brown); and his siblings, John "Jack" Jr., James, Donna and Marlene Joy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Curt Swarm (Virginia) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Sandra Scales and Angela "Angel" Roan of Grimes, IA. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews.
