She was predeceased by: her parents, Philomena Mihalik and Charles Mihalik; her husband William James Peterson; and her brothers, Charles (Chuck) and Ken.

She is survived by: her siblings, Sharon Grehn (David) of Iron River, WI, Judy Grosjean (Tom), Jane Cook (Timothy), Janice Johnson (Mike) of Ashland, WI and Duane Mihalik (Lynne). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

While living in Milwaukee, Nancy became a home health caregiver caring for Alzheimer's clients.
