With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elizabeth Julia Holmes of Washington Island, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Elizabeth left this world on July 23, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Elizabeth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Elizabeth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence J. Mueller and Elizabeth Galt Beard (Betty); her husband Sidney Holmes; her former husband L. Duane "Dewey" Jacobsen; and her brother Michael J. Mueller (Kelly).
She is survived by: her children, Katharyn E. Anderson (Michael) and W. Jens Jacobsen (Becky); her siblings, John Mueller (Jan) and Margaret Mueller Ulrich (Charles); and her cousin E. Rip Koken (Martina). She is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, and several grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Washington Island Cemetery.
