James R. Battist Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Battist of Waterloo, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Battist and Evelyn Battist; his sisters, Jean Wiedenfeld and Judy Battist; his brother-in-law Don Wiedenfeld; his parents-in-law, Elvin Stoering and Lydia Stoering; and his son-in-law Jon Schoeb.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jodie Bobolz (Randy), Wendie Schoeb and Philip Battist (Deanna); his grandchildren, Karleena (Keegan Bruins), Marissa (Ian Pahman) and Joshua; his siblings, Jane Schmidt (Roger) and Jerry Battist (Louise); and his siblings-in-law, Jan DeLeo (Sid) and David Stoering (Grace). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and its Learning Center.
