We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2023, at the age of 84, David J. Backhaus of Watertown, Wisconsin, born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhold Backhaus and Evelyn Backhaus (Bramer); his son James David Backhaus; and his granddaughter Christina Backhaus. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Backhaus of John's Lutheran Church; his son Mark Backhaus (Heather); his daughter-in-law Kim Backhaus; his grandchildren, Travis (Nichole) and Jenna Stanossek (Tanner); his niece Kim Kayser; and his nephew Richard Kayser (Diane).

Memorials may be made to the family in remembrance of Dave.
