He is survived by: his son Dr. Kyle Nichols (Arielle); his grandchildren, Gentry Zimpel, Killian Zimpel, Eleanor Mae Nichols, Liam John Nichols and Evelyn Marie Nichols; his girlfriend Margaret Weiher; his siblings, Lynn Nichols (Adrienne), Mary Ann Robbins, Melonie Payne (Skip), Marie Gleason, Herb Nichols (Rita), Gene Nichols, Terry Nichols (Della), Patricia Burton (George), Molly Wright (Rick) and Kay Nichols; and his close friends, Tim Steele, Johnny Poss and Wachovia. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
