He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Jackson Petrie. He is survived by: his mother Pauline Petrie; his wife Mary Connor of Mark's Lutheran Church; his children, Matthew Petrie (Mindi Strobel) and Rebecca Hoffman (Mark); his brothers, John Petrie (Kathy) and Brian Petrie (Sue); his nieces, Dr. Angela Petrie Kondziella (Tom), Laura Petrie and Lisa Gregorius (John); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Grant and Madison; and his nephew Tim Petrie. He is also survived by six godchildren, as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorials can be made in Tom's name to the St. Mark's School Scholarship Fund or Winnebago Lutheran Academy (WLA) for the library and gym.
