We are sad to announce that, on December 16, 2025, at the age of 86, William J. Schmidt (Watertown, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Schmidt and Esther Schmidt (Fuchs); his siblings, Ralph Schmidt and Debbra Paul; and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Genz, Arlene Schmidt and Judy Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Schmidt; his daughters, Janet Ebert (Jeff) and Pam Kuehl (Todd); his grandchildren, Jackie Dryer (Pat), Christopher Ebert, Andrew Flint (Toniette), Aaron Flint (Samantha), Gabrielle Kuehl, Lyndsey Tilot (Craig) and Korin Kuehl; his great grandchildren, Oliver Dryer, Evan Ebert, Emmett Ebert, Cru Flint, Gianna Flint, Tiahna Tilot, Teagan Tilot and Averil Tilot; his siblings, Robert Schmidt (Inez), Paul Schmidt (Sharon), Herbert Schmidt (Patsy), Russel Schmidt (Marlis), David Schmidt, Dorothy Kasubaski (Bob), Fredric Schmidt (Laura), Barbara Reinke (Leonard) and Brenda (Timothy); and his brother-in-law Michael Paul (Cindy). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rainbow Community Care, the R.O.C., T.E.L.L., or to a charity of one's choice.
