He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hames and Alice Hames. He is survived by: his children, Chris Vogt (David), Andrea Gierach (Bruce) and Mike Hames (Becky); his grandchildren, Jessica, Alek, Christian, Nathan, Trinity, Avery and Grayson; his great grandchild Ivan; and his siblings, Sara Hames (Ron Nagy) and Steve Hames.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Waubeka Fire Department (W4114 River Rd. Fredonia, WI 53021) or National Flag Day Foundation appreciated.
