He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Behrendt and Marjorie Behrendt; his wife Carol Scholtens; and his brothers, Harry, John Peter and Paul Behrendt.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Carol Cowsky (Albert), Mark Behrendt (Julie), Maureen Behrendt, Janet Wallenfang, Karen Maye (Steven), Michael Behrendt (Kerry), Margaret Platteter (Korey), Gregory Behrendt, Maria McKellips (Jason), John Behrendt (Jessica), Matthew Behrendt and Katherine Behrendt; and his sister Rita Behrendt. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials in Bart's name may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
