She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Winter and Dolores Winter; her brother Daniel Winter; her brother-in-law Jim Christus; her nephew David Buss; and her close friend Kate Caravella.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Schulz; her children, Jason, Andrew (Preeti) and Nicole Adsit (Anthony); her grandchildren, Madyson Schulz (Jason Schmidt), Immagin Adsit and Elizah Schulz; her great grandchild Zain Schmidt; and her siblings, John Winter (Ruth), Barbara Christus and Jane Winter. She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial donations to help defray funeral expenses as Ellen's passing was completely unexpected or to Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018 in honor of Ellen's late brother-in-law, Jim Christus.
