He is survived by: his mother Geralda "Jerry" Schaefer; his son Lee Knipfel; his nephew Christopher Schaefer; his niece Jennifer O'Leary (James); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cyndi, Kenny Schaefer, Ryan, Aidan and Addison O'Leary; and his sister-in-law Diane Schaefer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
