He is survived by : his wife Sally; his children, Chris Cherek, Kyle Cherek (Nada), Mike Biwer, Barb Dixon and Megan Barbeau (Marc); and his sister Mary Thoresen (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home (1110 S Grand Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186). A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
