He was predeceased by: his mother Anita Grinde (Bender); and his grandparents, Edgar, Kristiana "Jennie" Bender (Scharf), Theodore and Nina Grinde (Mathison).
He is survived by: his father Richard Grinde (Dick); his former wife Lisa Grinde (Steffes); his son Michael Grinde (Alyssa); his grandchildren, Alexis and Wyatt; his siblings, Chris Grinde (Roxann), Craig Grinde (Lori) and Ellen Schaaf (Vincent); and his aunt Karen Lewis (Grinde).
