He is survived by: his wife Monica McGowan (Kirch); his siblings, Darlene Wiegman (Dennis) of Mesa, William Pfaffenroth (Maureen) of Oshkosh, WI, Thomas Paffenroth (Cindy) of Oshkosh, WI and Steve Paffenroth (Deborah) of Greenville, WI.; his siblings-in-law, Virginia Scholtz, Ruth Halvorson (Byron), Susan Thibado (Wayne), George Kirch Jr. (Kelli), Raymond Kirch (Rebecca), Tony Kirch (Coleen) and Wesley Anderson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Barlow (Adam) of Poynette, WI, Amber Stoltenburg (Tom), Kasey Baughn (William) of Beaver Dam, WI, Christopher Paffenroth of Eugene, OR., Jennifer Berry (Robert Herold) of Watertown, WI and Elizabeth Paffenroth (Justin) of San Diego; his stepgrandchildren, Ali McGowan, Jenna McGowan, Sarah Mains (Ben), Carly McGowan (Jack Starkebaum), Abby McGowan (Niko Soto), Jack McGowan, Molly Killen (Matthew) and Kate Merlin; and his former wife Patricia Weinsehaus of Mauston, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (701 S Century Ave, Waunakee, WI 53597). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
