She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred "Doc" Schara and Edna Schara (Michels); and her sister JoAnn. She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Hermanson (Art Fischer) and Jane Andrashie (Anthony); her grandchildren, Abbigail and Bryce Andrashie (Taylor); her sister Jane Kuronen (Veikko); and her children, Morris Hermanson and Jodi Krause. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
