With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert J. Statz of Waunakee, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Statz and Margaret Statz (Karls); his parents-in-law, Joseph and Martha Statz; and his children, Richard and Debra.

He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Statz of Smitty's Hall; his children, Diane Oleson (Keith) and Gary Statz (Lisa Reinke); his daughter-in-law Kate Statz; his grandchildren, Bryan Statz, Eric Statz (Meena), Kirk Oleson (Rachael), Dayne Oleson, William Statz and Alex Statz; his stepgrandchildren, Jesse Thill (Elizabeth) and Jared Thill; his great grandchildren, Jayavel, Kiran Statz, Chance, Cooper and Theo Thill; his siblings, John Statz (Bambi), Ronald Statz (Cheryl), Kenneth Statz (Joyce) and Marilyn Hurtgen; his siblings-in-law, Cyril Statz (Barb) and Shirley Statz; his siblings, Hilary Statz (Celine), Elaine Ziegler (Leonard), Philip Statz (Irene), Victor Statz, Elizabeth Endres (Joseph), Sylvester Statz, Judine Wood (Bill) and David Statz (Darlene); and his siblings-in-law, John Hurtgen and Viola Rathert. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St John's Catholic Church (209 South St, Waunakee, WI 53597). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (209 South St, Waunakee, WI 53597).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family (Robert J. Statz memorial fund) used for charities of their choice at a later date.
