She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Reischel and Eileene Reischel (Nikl); her former husband John Schirmang of Reedsburg, WI.; her children, Debbie Rupert (Brian) of Sun Prairie, Jon Schirmang (late Sun Prairie) and Terri Grulke (Rich) of Beaver Dam; her husband Henry Laufenberg of Waunakee, WI; her stepsons, Scott Laufenberg (Marsha) of Bowling Green, KY, Craig Laufenberg and Dean Laufenberg (Valerie) of Waunakee; her grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Travis, Emma, Patrick, Molly and Addison; and her great grandchildren, Kiley, Annabelle, Savannah, Evelyn, Meadow and Autumn.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in Shirley Laufenberg's name.
