She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Buryska and Martha Buryska (Kubicek); her husband Donald W. Carey; her son Kevin; and her siblings, Sylvester, Robert, Betty (Schaeffer) and Eileen Buryska.

She is survived by: her brother David; and her sibling's children, Daniel, Mike (JoAnn), Patrick (Joan), Myles (Sean) and Chris (Karena). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
