He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilles and Mayme Gilles (Zimmerman); his wives, Mary Elaine (Kleist) and Preceding; and his siblings, Norb, Dorothy Severson and Mary Laxton.
He is survived by: his children, David Gilles (Jane Jung), Steven Gilles (Christine) and Ann Jadin (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Gilles (Cody Shively), Michael Gilles (Katherine), Patrick Gilles (Roza), William Frahm-Gilles (Greg), Kate Thierry and Mark Jadin. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
