He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John L. Burns and H. Pauline Burns; and his sister Polly Dierks. He is survived by: his brothers, John Burns III (Sue Corbin) of Plover, Robert Burns (Susan) of De Pere and Daniel Burns (Cindy) of Marshfield; his brother-in-law Duane Dierks of Sioux Falls; and his close friend Charlene Brandt of Marshfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Marty's name be directed to Columbus Catholic Schools or Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
