She was predeceased by : her parents, Aldert Rens and Cynthia VandenBerg Rens; her husband Lloyd Hartgerink; and her siblings, Angeline Tavs, Esther Kamphuis, Audrey TerBeest, James "Harold" Rens, Gordon "Bob" Rens and George Rens.

She is survived by : her daughters, Judith Henker (Gary) of Brandon, Donna Vanderbush (Dennis) of Waupun and Sue VandeKolk (Phillip) of Brandon; her grandchildren, Jeff Henker (Melissa), Todd Henker (Jennifer), Kim Miller (Jeffery), Mike Vanderbush (Stefanie), Julie Vanderbush, Melanie Lamer (Sherwyn), Matt Vandekolk (Jodi) and Ann Marchant (Craig); and her sister-in-law Ardis Redeker. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM and on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Church of Brandon (305 W Main St, Brandon, WI 53919). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at the Alto Cemetery (N3697 Co Rd EE, Waupun, WI 53963).
