He was predeceased by: his parents, Hellwig Staehling and Dorothy Staehling (Richardson); his granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Staehling; and his sister Jean Wendt. He is survived by: his wife Lois Staehling of Waupun; his children, Steven Staehling (Renee) of Plymouth, WI, Tricia Staehling (Sue Fischer) of Eagan, MN and Stacy Bresser (Todd) of Pardeeville, WI; his grandchildren, Alexandra Arndt (Ben), Andrew Staehling (Ashley), Samuel Staehling (Madalyn), Maggie Staehling (Sebastian Noskowiak) and Ellie Staehling (Michael Black); and his siblings, Rev. Gerald M. Staehling (Marjo) of Castle Rock Lake and Susan Kuzulka of Waupun. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph's Catholic Church (118 W Main St, Waupun, WI 53963). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at the Northwoods National Cemetery (4520 Lakewood Rd, Harshaw, WI 54529).
