He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Bud" Kirchoff and Darlene Kirchoff (Norenberg); his stepsons, Marcus and Michael Kwakkel; his in-laws, John and Louise Howard; and his pets, Butch, Patty, Sam, Buster and Rueben.

He is survived by: his close friend Jimmy; his wife Kathy Howard Kwakkel; his sons, Justin and Anthony; his stepson Matthew Kwakkel (Kathleen); his sisters, Cindy Felicki and Chris Baker (Jeff); his granddaughters, Jocelyn Kwakkel (Matt Jonet), Ashley McLinn (Connor), Nichole Kwakkel and Addisyn Kirchoff; and his great grandchild Emryn Jonet. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Waupun Area Animal Shelter.
