He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Deborah Smith (Mahoney); and his brother Robert Smith. He is survived by: his wife Therese Petty Sheldrake; his children, Kimberly Ware, Ryan Smith (Gemma) and Joshua Smith; his stepchildren, Christine Beamer (Andy), Brooke Gonzalez (Miguel) and Michael Sheldrake (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Azalea, Penelope, William Smith, Vincent, Robert Ware, Christian, Baylee Beamer, Rockette Gonzalez, Adam and Audrey Sheldrake; and his siblings, Karen Stine (William), Deborah Smith, Jennifer Marriott (John), Christopher Smith and Donna Coen (Mark). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (2929 East Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024).
