Peter Montsma Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Montsma of Waupun, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter Montsma to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Montsma (Edzerd) and Bernice Montsma (Baukja Vander Veen); his wife Joan Kemink; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Kate Kemink; his siblings, Howard (Sylvia), John (Eva), Gus, Ted (Thelma), Berton, Shirley Terpstra (Arie), Theresa Vegter (Harry), Martha Ter Steege (Gerald), Hinke and Edna Kelder; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Heeringa and Joyce Vriezen.

He is survived by: his children, Bryan Montsma (Noreen), Dan Montsma (Gladys) and Katie DeJager (Gary); his grandchildren, Todd Montsma (Ellie), Amie Riel (Tony), Justin Montsma (Naomi), Ashley Montsma, Austin Montsma, Alexis DeJager (Jackson Haase) and Aubryn DeJager; his great grandchildren, Shelby Fry, Noelle, Jude, Luke, Job Riel, Luella Montsma and Emery Montsma; his sister Alice Heeringa; and his brother-in-law William Kelder. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
