He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Buren and Alice Veleker Van Buren; his in-laws, Glenn and Martha Dunham; his son Scott; and his siblings, Bruce Van Buren, Donald Van Buren, Kendall Van Buren, Carol (Art Lamonska) and Donna (Mike Marlowe).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Dunham; his children, Ben (Carleen) and Melinni Roca; his grandson Dylan; his siblings, Dale Van Buren (Norma), Marty Van Buren (Norma) and Karen Beek; his sisters-in-law, Marilynn Van Buren and Vikki Van Buren; and his sister Connie Nico (Terry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
