He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wanta; his children, Debbie Hooke, Mark (Lilli Benzinger), Dan (Linda), Doug and Cindy Sherfinski (Tyler Babl); his grandchildren, Erika Choi (Seungbo), Nick Hooke (Bethany), Blake Sherfinski, Erik Sherfinski (Shay Boesl), Jonathon Teskoski and Travis Sherfinski (Alison Schroedel); his great grandchildren, Natasha, Ryan and Xander; his sister Jeanne Karpinski; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Verity, Violet Wanta, Andrew Wanta (Carol) and Steven Wanta. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (700 W Bridge St, Wausau, WI 54401). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
