He was predeceased by: his spouse Hielkje Stam (Pekel); his son Roelof Stam; and his siblings, Roelof Stam and Alberdina Stapel. He is survived by: his son Arend "Archie" Stam (Ann); his grandchildren, Michael Borchardt, Phillip Stam, Derek Stam and Megan (Scott); and his brothers, Bert Stam (Gertie) and Hendrick Stam. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
