He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Johanning and Ruth Johanning (Bohnsack); his parents-in-law, Irvin and Betty Weiske (Nigbor); his brothers, Donald Johanning and Gerald Johanning (Sue); his sister-in-law Jo Ellen Weiske; his niece LeAnn Johanning; and his nephews, John Johanning and Dan Johanning.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his siblings-in-law, Sue Johanning (Gerald), Carol Tietz (Leo), Gail Torelli (Tony), Sandra Resop (John) and Ronald Weiske; and his nieces and nephews, Laura Nye (Tim), Linda Johanning, Melinda McNally (Jerry), Adrienne Tietz, Rachel Vatakis (Dimitrios), Audra Thorsten (Jay), Amber Torelli, Gina Torelli, Jimmy Johanning (Michelle), Andrew Torelli (Brittany) and Jordan Resop (Chelsea). He is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
