He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Griffin and Darlene Griffin (Kinter); his stepmother Dorothy Griffin; and his father-in-law George Lonsdorf. He is survived by: his children, Katie (Todd Rainer) and Dave Griffin; his wife Peggy (Lonsdorf); his children, Kathleen (Marty Vanderstappen), Vincent Vignali and Andrea (Dylan Fleischman); his grandchildren, Cash and Hannah Griffin; his siblings, Barry Griffin (Glenda) and Sandra (Jess Carrasquillo); his mother-in-law Dolores Lonsdorf; and his siblings-in-law, George Lonsdorf, Tim (Stella), Dan Lonsdorf, Marshall Lonsdorf, Christopher Lonsdorf, Andrew Lonsdorf (Mera), Linda Davis (Bob), Laurie Lonsdorf (Mike Kennedy) and Roseanne Hanley (Marty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in lieu of flowers will be used to continue Dennis' legacy and vision at Willow Springs.
