He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Krueger and Viola Krueger (Reimer); his siblings, Laverne Krueger (Ann) and Phyllis Pawlowski; his stepmother LaVila Krueger (Baumann); and his stepsiblings, Sharon Landowski and Lylas Baumann (Jean).

He is survived by: his brother Merlin Krueger (Patsy) of Sun Lakes, AZ; his brother-in-law David Pawlowski; his stepsiblings, Sandy Ebbinger (Art), Gary Baumann (Beverly) and Merrill of Dennis Baumann, N. C.; and his godson Jody Krueger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Elroy's name.
