He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Kirsch and Babette Kirsch (Bach); his brother Karl Heinz Kirsch; and his siblings-in-law, Eric Linsenmeier, George Blason, Eric Schulz, John Marquardt and Lynn Marquardt.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Marquardt; his sons, Charles Kirsch (Deb) and Fred Kirsch (Joan); his grandchildren, Robyn Kirsch, Christopher Kirsch, Carson Kirsch and Allison Kirsch; his sisters, Marianne Blason, Hedwig Schulz and Heidi Linsenmeier; and his siblings-in-law, Heidi Kirsch, Katy Harle (Dieter), Helen Skindlov (Jim), Steve Marquardt and Joel Marquardt (Marion). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
