He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Klimpke and Lavina Klimpke (Christenson); his granddaughter Anna Klimpke; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Ortman, James Ortman, Lester Solchenbuger, Gene Rodman, Donald Komarek and Ramona Ortman.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ortman; his children, Tina Borter (James) and William Klimpke (Joy); his grandchildren, Jessica Hein (Matt), Zach Borter (Alexa), Skyler Geiger, Alex and Johnathon; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Emilie, Braxton Hein, James and Kirsten Geiger; his stepgreat-grandson Joxton Boushan; his siblings, Walter Jr. Klimpke (Carol), Shirley Liss (Clarence) and Ruth Komarek; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Solchenbuger, Betty Holbach (David), Martha Rodman and Barbara Ortman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
