He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Zahrt and Esther Zahrt (Strehlow); and his siblings, Marvin (Kate), Willard, Willy (Jean), Lenny (Mabel), Milly Totsch (Marvin), Addie Shelton (Frank), Lillian Engebrecht (Bob), Vera Lehman (Bernie) and Juanita Zahrt.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marion Zahrt and Ellie Martin (Ed). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
