He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ryan and Frieda Ryan; his wife Sandra Woodward; his siblings, John, Lawrence, Arthur, Clarence Ryan, Mary Mortenson, Betty Wolfe and Elly Ryan; and his pet Buffy.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Ryan (Linda Maly), Forrest Ryan and Kelly Erickson (Nick); and his grandchildren, Lee Ryan (Terri), Nickolas Erickson, Jr. (Nichole Sullivan) and Jennifer Folz (Matthew). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Humane Society or New Life Pet Adoption Center.
